About This Course

This course is designed to prepare the student for an entry-level position as a pharmacy technician. The pharmacy technician program will address basic pharmacology, pharmacy calculations, deciphering and filling medication orders, reconstitution of drugs, medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, and pharmacy operations among other critical topics. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to receive a pharmacy technician license from the California board of pharmacy. Hybrid program: students are required to complete 20 hours a week of online and self-study.

Cohort 1: August 13- December 17

Class times:

18 Weeks

  • 5PM- 9PM on Tuesdays via Zoom with instructor

  • Classroom assignments completed Monday- Friday on Online Platform

    • ***Externship hours vary

Total Program Fee:

  • $2995 per term

  • Most of our students qualify for complete financial assistance.

State License Requirement:

  • California ID, Drivers License or Passport Original

  • Social Security Card

  • High School Diploma Transcripts

  • Pass a clean background check

    • *Past offenses may disqualify for a state license

Classroom Requirements

  • In addition to passing the pre-registration assessment, potential students must pass a clean background check and have sealed official High School Diploma transcripts.

  • COVID vaccinated or acceptable exemption documentation (clinical requirement)

  • Class requirements: 12-20 hours of online assignments in preparation for classroom direct instruction one day per week.

  • 200 hours of externship at a pharmacy required.

If you are applying for financial assistance, please bring these documents to your appointment.

  1. Bring a copy of your resume

  2. Valid CA DL or ID (the physical card, NOT a copy)

  3. Social Security card preferably, or birth certificate or US Passport (the original, NOT a copy)

  4. Proof of Selective Services Registration – STATUS LETTER (Males only)

  5. Proof of residence (utility bill, official correspondence, phone bill, bank statement, etc.)

  6. EDD Award Letter or Claim Form – (if applicable)

  7. Veterans: Bring DD-214 (if applicable)

  8. Any layoff or termination letter (if applicable)

  9. 6 months proof of income for you and your spouse (if applicable)

    • Paystubs, Unemployment Insurance documentation, EBT, disability, etc.

      • If you had the same employer for the past 6 months, then the last paycheck stub will suffice

        • *If you have children, please bring their birth certificates or social security cards and tax documents that provide their information (name, social security, etc.)
